Are you having difficultly affording safe utility service? There are a number of programs that may be available to help. Depending on where you live, how many people are in your household and how much money you make, you may be eligible for assistance. Contact your utility company for additional information on the specific programs they have available.

West Virginia Utility Assistance Program

Dollar Energy Fund’s West Virginia Utility Assistance Program assists eligible utility customers with their gas, electric and water bills. Eligible customers receive a one-time grant applied directly to their utility bill.

Low Income Energy Assistance Program

The Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) is a federally funded program available to help eligible customers in West Virginia with their home heating bills.

Special Reduced Rate Service Program

The Special Reduced Rate Service Program (SRRS), also known as the 20 percent discount program, was established by West Virginia state government to assist eligible participants in receiving a 20 percent discount from their electric and/or gas company.
