Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Liaison between various program stakeholders for effective implementation of the program

  • Review and evaluate vendor and outside contractor activities

  • Travel to customer’s home to assess the need for various weatherization measures

  • Educate customers about the importance of energy conservation

  • Conduct follow-up visits to ensure customer satisfaction, completion, and workmanship

  • Assist with coordination and evaluation of outside contractor activities

  • Prepare and submit all requested program reports on a timely basis

  • Continually look for ways to improve the program

  • Install basic energy efficiency measures such as light bulbs, faucet aerators, and showerheads

Qualifications: The successful candidate will have:

  • Leadership experience and the ability to develop relationships within the community

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work flexible hours dependent on customer availability

  • Access to reliable transportation

  • Basic knowledge of construction practices pertaining to home improvement

  • Willingness to travel throughout service territory which may require overnight travel

Work Experience and Education Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent. Ability to obtain certification as a Home Energy Auditor from the Building Performance Institute within 90 days of hire.

Summary: The Auditor is responsible for providing home energy assessment services to residents throughout a defined territory. The Auditor will also install basic energy efficiency items, discuss energy efficiency practices with customers, and assess the energy use of a household. The auditor will also review completed weatherization measures of contractors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Perform day-to-day activities of the program under the supervision of the Assistant Call Center Managers, including:

  • Taking applications over the phone and determining customer eligibility

  • Managing difficult or emotional customer situations

  • Responding promptly to customer needs

  • Soliciting customer feedback to improve service

  • Adhering to program guidelines and procedures

  • Making outbound calls as required per call center contracts

  • Taking inbound calls from customers, assisting customers with questions and resolving problems

  • Maintenance and updating of customer files

  • Data entry and maintenance of customer accounts on the computer systems

  • Documenting contact with customers

  • Processing all program correspondence and mailings

Work Experience and Education Requirementsg:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Windows Systems and Microsoft Office Applications.
